To and From JFK:
JFK International Airport is accessible by car from the Belt Parkway, the Van Wyck Parkway or the JFK Expressway. This is a VERY busy area - if you're driving to/from the airport be sure to check traffic reports and allow extra time for congestion, especially during peak hours.
Public transportation, including New York City buses and subways and the Air Train JFK rail link stop at nearby Howard Beach Station and Jamaica Station. The Air Train also stops at Lefferts Bouldvard. You can connect to the LIRR (Long Island Railroad) at Jamaica Station.
Parking at JFK:
Long term parking is located at Lefferts Boulevard. Closer, daily parking is in the Central Terminal Area (CTA) and color coded by terminal.
Rates for airport parking are:
Long term: Up to the first 24 hours - $15; $5 for each 8 hours thereafter.
CTA (daily) parking: $3 for the first half hour or part ;
$6 for up to 1 hour;
$3 for each hour or part thereafter, up to $30 maximum each 24-hour period.
Rates for persons with disabilities are capped at a maximum of $15/day.
